7 Pieces, 15 Looks, was a concept created to help individuals create multiple outfits out of minimal clothing items. It helps you create buildable outfits without feeling like you need to constantly be buying new clothing. Having a minimal wardrobe is beneficial in many ways, especially for college students. Keeping a minimal wardrobe allows for more closet space, costs less to maintain, is environmentally friendly, and makes getting ready more efficient.

The following example of a minimal wardrobe is made out of basic styling pieces. Many of these basic pieces are wardrobe staples or inexpensive to purchase. The basic pieces pictured are; jeans, a black cropped shirt, a jean jacket, a graphic t-shirt, black leggings, a denim skirt, and sweatpants.

The best thing about this concept is that individuals can make it their own through mixing and matching different pieces of clothing. From businesswear to dress it up, athletic wear to dress it down, colors, and shoes help add personality. A good thing to keep in mind when having a minimalist wardrobe is to accessorize. Pairing your outfit with a choker, chains, dainty necklaces, hoop earrings or a crossbody bag can change the vibe of the outfit. Don’t be afraid to only have a few pieces of clothing, you can make many outfits out of just a few basic items.
