Video might have killed the radio star, but the 21st century most definitely did not kill the 80s. In fact, the vibrant style of the 80s has made a lasting impression on the fashion industry.

Today, the remastered 80s look may include vintage statement pieces with modern basics.

To get the perfect 80s It-Girl moment, pair a bold patterned blazer with a neutral miniskirt. White boots will let the blazer shine while still making a statement of their own.

For a more “When Harry Met Sally” 80s look, layer a warm-toned blazer over a silk top with black corduroy pants. You’ll be ready for a lovely stroll in Central Park with this romantic and timeless outfit.

Want to go for a more subtle incorporation of 80s pop style? Pick up a pair of bulky vintage earrings that are sure to remind your parents of their teenage years. Pearls are another 80s staple that have transitioned seamlessly into the modern age. Wear a pearl clip in your hair or a pearl necklace for a classic twist.

To top off the look, go “Big” or go home with makeup— bolder is better. Try a statement blue eyeshadow with a “Pretty in Pink” lip or play off the colors in your outfit for a cohesive aesthetic.
