“The Euphoric Feeling”: A Deepdive into Euphoria Season Two’s Makeup Looks

Since the end of season two, “Euphoria” fans everywhere are looking for new ways to spend their Sunday nights. From the jaw dropping cinematography, to the lighting of every scene, to the riveting storylines, this freshly wrapped season gave us a variety of things to dissect and completely obsess over. Even though the season is over, the iconic makeup looks are still having their moment.

These looks inspired many to post their renditions to TikTok and Instagram. The beautiful eye makeup looks are all thanks to Doniella Davy, the head makeup artist for the show, who left us awestruck and inspired to pick up a makeup brush and apply some rhinestones and glitter with the first season. Now this time around, she’s given us even more looks to try out, which now come with less bling and more statement looks in the form of bold colors and sharp liner.

Season two of “Euphoria” did not necessarily box the beloved main characters into either of these categories though, as we see each main character in a variety of renditions of each look.

Maddy Perez, played by Alexa Demie, switches out her go-to bold liner and rhinestones for more of a glam, gray-toned cut crease with shimmer. She also wears a striking yet subtle purple eyeshadow look with winged eyeliner.

Kat Hernandez, played by Barbie Ferreira, swaps out her signature smoky eye for a sharp baby blue and black liner. Along with this, she is also seen in an impactful and loud lime green and teal eyeshadow look.

Jules Vaughn, played by Hunter Schafer, changes her go-to pop of color and playful graphic liner to a more angular black inner corner liner paired with a shimmer. She also wears a wash of orange over her lid with a pop of shimmer and small white liner details, nodding to her previous Y2K style seen in various other looks from the season.

Cassie Howard, played by Sydney Sweeney, goes all out this season with her variety of looks, almost never wearing the same look twice. Following her character development this season, she wears a dainty wash of pink over the lid with a bit of shimmer. She’s also seen in a look that nods to Maddy from season one, with rhinestones galore and a light wash of color over the lid.

Finally, we have Lexi Howard, played by Maude Apatow, who completely trades in her signature bold lip and light eye makeup in the later half of season two. Lexi grows progressively more confident as the season goes on, and it shows through her makeup. Made over by Maddy in a flashback, she is seen sporting a sharp blue liner along with rhinestones and a pink shadow on the crease. Marking her most influential part of the season, she wears a pronged eyeliner look with a dramatic shadow to match.

This season showcased that every character’s makeup looks are nods to their personalities and developments in their storylines, so they are no doubt meant to make a statement. If you ever need a fun makeup look for going out, or just want to have a good makeup day every once in a while, the looks shown are sure to give you a good sense of inspiration! Whether you choose to do one of the looks that is more refined, or you choose something impactful, any of these would be great to show off your personality, as well as your makeup skills.
