Welcome to Berryville

Growing up, Strawberry Shortcake, was one of my favorite shows. It was truly ahead of its time in terms of diversity, friendship, and exploring emotions. The show centered around gal pals going on adventures, each with their own talents. The girls were not pitted against each other or fighting over boys, they were allowed to be individuals. When problems arose, they were handled by talking the issue out. The characters were not overly sexualized giving young viewers unrealistic body images. 

This photoshoot was created to remember those messages and how important the media we consume growing up, affects us. Welcome to Berryville is Strawberry Shortcake reimagined with a group of friends in Kansas.
