Cupid takes his aim this Valentine's Day

Cupid’s shooting more than arrows this Valentine’s Day! He’s shooting red hot makeup looks that are sure to catch the eye of “the one.” 

In ancient mythology, Cupid, the god of love, used his bow and arrow to initiate desire and love. Today, we may use makeup to do the same thing. 

This Valentine’s day, we looked at classic depictions of Cupid to serve as our inspiration. Soft yet mischievous Renaissance images were our guide.

To put a modern spin on the ancient legend, we incorporated symbols of roses and hearts into our look. But with an ode to the Renaissance, we also included flower crowns and vines.
