If you’re looking for the perfect thing to do on a little girl's day this summer in Springfield, keep reading! I have the ultimate spot to put you on. Miss Gilmore’s Tea Room & Boutique, an adorable shop is on Commercial Street! This place is the cutest place to purchase trinkets or gifts for yourself or others and get yourself a little treat as well! Miss Gimlore’s is covered from the floor up with the most unique decorations and antiques that will have you fascinated with every detail. The bakery is filled with so many different yummy treats including macaroons (my favorite). They also have the perfect tea room for lunch/brunch or you can even reserve the room for any special events you may have! They have a huge tea selection and the menu is Alice in Wonderland themed. Their menu is full of Alice and Wonderland-themed treats, as well as any tea your heart desires.

My experiences at Miss Gimlore’s have been nothing but delightful. The staff is so friendly and adds so much pleasure to the experience. I personally love going in to purchase unique cards for friends or jewelry! As a maximalist decorator myself, this shop makes me so happy. The decorations make the experience, you can get lost in the beauty of the details. I always make a stop when I’m nearby. This article wouldn’t feel right if I didn't recommend some of the yummy food they offer. If you go sometime, you HAVE to try their chicken salad, so delicious and fresh! The owners recommend The Three Sisters and Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, which includes several little options for their lunch items!

Now, you may be asking yourself, who is Miss Gimlore? Well, Miss Gimlore’s is a shop that was initially started by Robin & Rick Gilmore and located on Scenic Street, but needing to expand, they purchased their current location about 8 years ago. The Gilmores eventually passed down the business to Freda Roussell and her sons in 2020. They did some remodeling over covid when the shop had to be closed and the business has been a hit ever since! They even plan on remodeling again in the near future! I look forward to seeing this business expand and flourish. You have to check it out sometime!
