Early 2000s nostalgia seems to be nearing its peak as the world descends into uncertainty with every breaking news story. As a possible remedy to the world’s uncertainty, the familiar early 2000’s aesthetic has made a comeback for many members of Gen Z.
But are the early 2000s back based on their own merit, or rather the desire to relive simpler times?
For me, it might be a little bit of both. Of course, we’re all fans of Lizzie McGuire, “That’s So Raven” and “Mean Girls” — they’re classics! It makes sense that the movies and shows we grew up watching had an impact on the way our style has evolved. But beyond nostalgia, there is merit to the era. The aesthetic of the early 2000s is undoubtedly fun, surprising, and simply adorable.
Want to feel like you could walk on the set of “The Lizzie McGuire Movie” and fit right in?
