The Trend that Never Goes Out of Style: Matching Sets

Matching sets have evolved so much since the trend was first introduced in the 70’s. Back then, it was all about bell bottoms in a funky print with a crop top that ties in the front to match. Fast forward to the early 2000s when the matching Juicy Couture tracksuit was all the rage. Meanwhile, in recent years biker shorts and tank top sets have become a cute and trendy way to run errands. As generations pass, matching sets are a trend that continues to stand strong. Sets can be a timeless outfit and can be worn in a variety of ways. You can spice up a matching set by layering different patterns and textures. No matter the event or occasion, a matching set is always a great choice. 

Since we are deep into  fall, and the wind is getting chillier by the day, it’s important to consider layering options for your matching sets. You don’t have to retire your matching sets for the winter. Instead,  adding a puffer coat, varsity jacket, or a motocross jacket can all be ways to show off your matching set while simultaneously accommodating for the weather. Another plus to two piece sets is that they can be versatile. For example, they can be seductive or sophisticated, dressy or casual. You can dress it down with sneakers and a denim jacket or dress it up with slacks and a blazer which give you more of a polished look. Adding accessories such as sunglasses and bracelets can pull the outfit together and help to create the vibe you are aiming for. 

Matching sets can help you easily achieve a monochromatic look, or they can be your go-to when you are struggling to put an outfit together. Sets are a quick and fashionable way to style a fit with less effort. Fashion is supposed to be easy and fun, that’s what matching sets are here for!
