Many college students have established a study routine of some kind. We know where our favorite spots are, what stationery we prefer, what snacks to keep nearby, and, the most important part of the system, in my opinion, what to wear while we're studying. Although this seems trivial to some, it indeed plays a role in our productivity and focus.
As I've highlighted, everyone has their individual preferences based on what works well for them. In terms of studying attire, some may accomplish more if they’re wearing a nice top and a pair of jeans, while others may work best when wearing comfortable clothes such as sweatpants and a pullover. It is safe to assume that most college students prefer relaxed outfits over fashionable outfits for study sessions; however, we can attain both at the same time.
Starting with the base of your outfit, there are easy ways to create a relaxed fit, while still looking put-together. Matching sweat sets, knit sweaters paired with flowy lounge pants, or linen pants paired with a loose-fitted top are all ways to create an elevated version of your typical study fit. Adding accessories such as jewelry, hats, fun shoes, funky glasses, headphones, and statement bags help complete the look you’re going for, transforming your once dull study outfit into a fashionable look.
There are many simple ways to enhance your study outfit that are unique to each person. Feeling good in the clothes you are wearing as well as feeling good about them are equally important. Following these styling tips will help you create new study outfits that make you feel both comfortable and confident!
