From Good to Gucci

We’ve all seen someone walking down the street wearing something designer. Whether that be Louis Vuitton, the iconic Gucci belt or Chanel, a designer item is something many people strive to own. However, truly capturing the style and image of that designer is a whole different level of fashion. With this Gucci-inspired shoot, we really wanted to capture what Gucci is all about. Cassidy Leighty and I put our heads together and grabbed things that we and the people around us already owned and styled outfits that we thought portrayed the Gucci style.

“Happy accidents” is the best way to describe Bree Swanson’s journey to fashion design. Swanson, a double merchandising and design major, is originally from Northwest Arkansas and was fully planning on attending college in Arkansas starting in fall of 2017. However, when her freshman orientation began, something didn't feel right.

“Christian, Glam, Rock” a simple way fashion design major, Alyssa Canon, describes her senior collection. Despite only learning how to sew three years ago, Alyssa is the lead designer behind “In God We Trust.”
